so, lee daniels is like isaiah thomas right now-he’s getting all the jobs. and that’s cool, because he’s great-my favourite as of late has been prince of broadway, but the butler was great, and i enjoy whatever propensity he has to make mariah carey look ugly.
i guess this “crossover” film, not in terms of audience, because i think he’s already got that on lock, but in terms of making a film with majority white characters-has been cooking for a minute, and i suppose there’s a certain marker of success that comes with making a piece of work around crazy white people (like timbaland did deliverance)
everybody looks trashy and glamourous, and the acting is on point. congratulations, mister daniels.
